Why Some of Us Hate Feet (and Why It’s Deeper Than You Think)

The spiritual boundaries hidden in something we call ‘a pet peeve.’

Feet carry us through life. They’ve walked us into love, out of heartbreak, through struggles, and toward blessings. Yet, for something so important, feet are often ignored—or straight-up avoided. Some people don’t like anyone touching their feet. Others don’t like touching feet at all. Spiritually, that says more than you might think.

Our Feet Are the Foundation From Which We Are Built.

They connect us to the earth, carry us to our destinations, and even prove our worth in some cultures. Feet are so important that people even pay for pictures of them. When you think of a tree, you know the roots are what feeds the body and keep the tree standing. Your feet does the same thing for you.

Where Have Your Feet Taken You?

Everyone has different paths and journeys in life. Some more strenuous than others. The energy from the places we go and the situations we've been in gets stored in our bodies through the feet. Some walk blindly and some walk with purpose, but either way, we all walk somewhere.

Be Mindful of Who or What You Let Touch Your Feet

People walking through trials and tribulations shouldn't touch your feet. People walking a dangerous path shouldn't touch your feet. People with bad energy shouldn't touch your feet. If you go for a foot massage, notice the energy around you before you take your shoes off. If you have a partner who likes feet, make sure you trust them before you show them your roots.

Be Careful of the Roots You Touch

Roots hold power. They can show you someone's darkness and all it takes to be them. Some roots are rotten and need energy to bring them to life, so be mindful of which ones you feed. You may think you're giving someone a simple foot rub when really, you're feeding them the energy from your own roots.

Some of us hate feet because we know the origin behind the root. We know how rotten or unstable a person may be at the core. Feet leave a lingering energy long after they've walked on, and we just don't want it on us.
