So boom.
I’m doing laundry at my man’s place. Just tossing stuff in the machine, not thinking too hard.
We’re still kinda new—maybe 3 months in—but it’s going good. I stay over a lot. Sometimes we mix clothes. Whatever.
Fast forward to Monday. He goes to work. I go about my day.
Around 2PM, my phone blows up.
He got into it with somebody at work. HR called. He might be suspended.
HUH?!
I call him like, “What happened?”
This man says:
“You remember the panties you left in the laundry?”
Me: “…Yeah?”
Him: “They ended up on my desk.”
Excuse me??
Apparently, he tossed some clothes in a gym bag that morning and didn’t realize my lacy red panties were caught in one of his t-shirts.
So when he changed clothes before lunch, they fell out—right on his desk.
Now here’s where it gets messy messy.
One of his coworkers—let’s call her Amber—walks in, sees the panties, and assumes they’re hers.
Mind you… I’VE NEVER HEARD OF THIS WOMAN.
But she storms in like:
“So you just gon leave my underwear out in the open like this? That’s real disrespectful.”
IN. FRONT. OF. EVERYBODY.
He’s confused. The office is dead silent. Somebody gasps. She’s already yelling about how he “ain’t gonna play her” and “had no problem coming to her place last weekend.”
Then sis picks up the panties and throws them at him.
Screaming. In the breakroom.
Security gets called.
HR pulls them both in.
Next day? He’s FIRED.
She still works there.
I’m stunned. Hurt. Confused. So I ask him again—“What was she talking about? What does she mean her place?”
He swears she’s lying.
Says she’s had a crush on him for a while, but he never touched her.
Cool. I wanted to believe him…
Until I found the texts.
Amber: “You left your hoodie. Again.”
Amber: “When are you coming back over?”
Amber: “Did your lil girlfriend find out yet?”
So yeah.
Not only did he cheat.
He got fired… over my panties.
Karma showed up in red lace.
And I didn’t even have to lift a finger. 🥂
